In 1999, Travis made a change, moving away from the country music that made him famous and moving into gospel music with the album A Man Ain’t Made of Stone. He followed that up with another Christian album in Rise and Shine and won a Grammy for the single “Three Wooden Crosses,” which put him back on the map and proved he could succeed regardless of genre.
