He was born Harold Lloyd Jenkins and was named by his Great Uncle after the legendary silent movie actor Harold Lloyd. He even had his own local radio show every Saturday morning. But music wasn't the only thing Conway was good at he received an offer to play professional baseball from the Philadelphia Phillie after high school, but was drafted into the U.S. Army.
