In 1947. The Trio would later go one to have a radio program "King Cole Trio Time". Cole was one of the first African-Americans to host his own television variety show on NBC. Cole's last recording session was Dec. 3, 1964 when he completed recording three songs for his L.O.V.E album. He passed away less than three months after that recording session.
