One of the most famous fans of Earth, Wind & Fire is former President Barack Obama. Shortly after he took office he invited the band to play at the White House. In 2009 they played during the Governors' Dinner. However, this wasn't the first time they had ever played at the White House. During the Clinton administration back in 2000, they were invited to perform, during which the King of Morocco His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco and his wife Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem were also in attendance. The King was impressed enough to invite the band to perform in his country of Morocco for his 37th birthday.
