When he was first asked by Beatles manager Brian Epstein to tour England with the band, he responded, “What’s a Beatle?” A year before he died, fan Bruce Springsteen inducted Roy into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His nickname in the band was 'Lefty Wilbury'.
