'Titanic' Composer James Horner Dies In Plane Crash

James Horner, the composer known for his film soundtracks like "Titanic," and "Braveheart," died in a plane crash at the age of 61.
The two-time Oscar winner's self-piloted plane crashed north of Santa Barbara on Monday.
"We have lost an amazing person with a huge heart and unbelievable talent," Horner's assistant Sylvia Patrycja wrote on Facebook on Monday. "He died doing what he loved.
Thank you for all your support and love and see you down the road."
Horner's work included "Apollo 13," "Avatar," two "Star Trek" movies, "A Beautiful Mind," and "Field of Dreams."
His "Titanic" OST sold 27 million copies worldwide and he won six Grammy Awards.
Director and collaborator Ron Howard was one of many to offer condolences via Twitter.
"Brilliant Composer James Horner, friend & collaborator on 7 movies has tragically died in a plane crash. My heart aches for his loved ones."
