Nile Rodgers hit the streets of London's South Bank with a guitar, amp and open case to busk for unexpecting passerby.

The Chic founder jammed away, making about $18 in the process.

The impromptu street appearance came hours after he had played the British Summertime Festival.

"Today I went busking on the #London Southbank. Didn't draw much of a crowd until I started playing dance music. Hmm?"

Niles wrote on Twitter after.

"Though I had no voice from screaming during last night's show, I started to draw a crowd when I sang 'Aw Freak Out'!"

Rodgers was fairly well disguised, wearing a wooly hat, oversized scarf, shades, and camel jacket.

Rodgers also said on Twitter that he's familiar with street performance as he did it early in his career when he was "homeless."
