The protagonist is a writer, who must produce a romantic script for a film but struggles to do so as he is skeptical about the concept of 'true love'.

So he decides to gain perspective by making his friends share their love stories with him.

He then visualizes himself in those tales, but fails to get inspired.

Eventually, as luck would have it, he gets struck by Cupid's bow and falls for Michelle Monaghan's character. But there's a catch — she's engaged.
