Gregg Allman has announced plans to release a new album and DVD, Live: Back to Macon, GA this summer, which was recorded during a January 14, 2014 performance at the Grand Opera House.

The two-disc album and DVD include much of the same material; the video also features some interviews with Allman, who recorded the shows with his eight-piece solo band in front of an intimate audience of about 1,000 fans.

The concert was held in a theater that was built way back in 1884.

Live: Back to Macon, GA will be released on August 7.
