Hot Chocolate lead singer Errol Brown has passed away at age 71, according to BBC News.

Brown, who is known for hits, such as "You Sexy Thing," "It Started With A Kiss" and "I Believe in Miracles," had been suffering from liver cancer, confirmed his manager Phil Dale.

Dale paid tribute to Brown by calling him "a wonderful gentleman," and said "There was always music around wherever he was.

I've been with him in the middle of Australia and he has got an idea for a song and started writing."

Brown is survived by his wife Ginette and two daughters, Leonie and Colette.

In 2004 Brown received the Ivor Novello award for his outstanding contribution to British music.
