Roger Daltrey needs time to rest his voice, prompting the Who to cancel three upcoming shows: May 5 at Kansas City's Sprint Center, May 7 at St. Louis' Scottrade Center, and May 9 at Louisville's KFC Yum Center.

"It is with great regret that the Who are postponing the next three shows of their 'The Who Hits 50!' North American tour based on doctors' advice that lead singer Roger Daltrey remain on vocal rest, due to swollen vocal cords, for the remainder of this week," the band wrote in a statement.

The statement adds that the rescheduled dates will be "announced shortly."

"The new show dates will be announced shortly and tickets for these shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates.

THE WHO HITS 50! will resume Monday, May 11 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN."
