Songwriter Gerry Goffin Dies At 75

Gerry Goffin, songwriter and ex-husband of Carole King, died on the 19th of June at the age of 75. His death of natural causes was confirmed by his wife Michelle Goffin.
With King he wrote several hits including "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," "Up on the Roof" and "The Loco-Motion." Together the pair composed over 50 top 40 hits.
"He had a profound impact on my life and the rest of the world. Gerry was a good man and a dynamic force, whose words and creative influence will resonate for generations to come," said King in a statement.
She also noted that Gerry wrote the words which she set to music:
"His words expressed what so many people were feeling but didn't know how to say."
