Hall and Oates' John Oates has reportedly inked a book deal for a memoir due out some time in 2016.

The book will be released via St. Martin's Press and the publisher says it will be "detailed" and tell "intimate and fascinating stories" about the band member's rise to fame.

The band also made recent headlines when they sued a Brooklyn-based food company for selling a cereal dubbed "Haulin Oats."

"The name and mark Haulin' Oats is an obvious play upon Plaintiff's well-known Hall & Oates mark, and was selected by defendant in an effort to trade off of the fame and notoriety associated with the artist's and plaintiff's well-known marks," the pair wrote in their complaint against Early Bird foods.
