Brian Wilson has released the full length trailer for the upcoming biopic Love & Mercy, starring Paul Dano as a young Brian and John Cusack as an older Brian.

The film also features Elizabeth Banks as Wilson's wife Melinda and Paul Giamatti as Eugene Land, the psychiatrist credited with helping Wilson through his darkest times.

"Love And Mercy centers on the mercurial singer, songwriter and leader of The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson," reads the film's official synopsis.

"Rather than a biopic, the film will take an unconventional look at seminal moments in Wilson's life, his artistic genius, his profound struggles, and the love that kept him alive."

Love & Mercy is directed by Bill Pohlad, and arrives in U.S. theaters on June 5.
