Todd Rundgren has released his new song "Soothe," which is featured on his upcoming album, Global.

The singer describes the music on his new album as "a contemporary fusion of styles — rock, soul and electronica."

Rundgren also has a collaborative album, Runddans, which was recorded with Lindstrøm and Serena-Maneesh's Emil Nikolaisen, coming out shortly after his next album on May 5.

Pitchfork says that the project is a "one 39-minute track that's broken down into 12 different parts."

Global, his 25th studio album, is due out on April 7. Those who want to pre-order the album can do so now at iTunes and Amazon.

Rundgren's last album, State, was released in 2013.
