Neil Diamond performed his first formal show ever in his native city of Brooklyn on Thursday, March 26 at the Barclays Center.

The singer, aside from a surprise gig at his alma mater, Erasmus High School, in Flatbush in September, had never played an actual show in Brooklyn over his 50 year career.

"I grew up in this fair borough," Diamond said. "It was a great place to grow up."

Throughout the night Diamond played a bunch of his hits, including "Solitary Man," "Driver 8," "Texarkana," "America," along with a song called "Brooklyn Roads," which he wrote back in 1968.
