This fall the Beatles will release a 14-LP box set called The Beatles in Mono, a vinyl version of the same set the group released to CD five years ago.

The set includes the band's first nine U.K. albums, the American-compiled Magical Mystery Tour and a collection of Mono Masters, featuring non-album singles and tracks.

"In an audiophile-minded undertaking the Beatles' acclaimed mono albums have been newly mastered for vinyl from quarter-inch master tapes at Abbey Road Studios by Grammy-winning engineer Sean Magee and Grammy-winning mastering supervisor Steve Berkowitz," reads a presser for the set.

The set also includes a hard bound 108 page book with essays and a history of the mastering process by radio producer and author Kevin Howlett. Photos, documents and ads are included as well.
