Paul Simon and Edie Brickell will not be charged in connection with their domestic violence incident. Prosecutors have declined to file any charges, bringing the case to an end.

In April, police responding to a 911 call found the couple yelling at each other, and the officers noted that Brickell had alcohol on her breath.

She claimed that Simon "was acting like a spoiled baby by calling 911." Brickell also said that there had been previous physical confrontations between the two, but refused to give the police any further details.

The skirmish resulted in Simon having a "superficial cut to his ear," while Brickell wound up with a "small bruise to her right wrist."

In a statement Brickell took the blame, saying "I got my feelings hurt and I picked a fight with my husband . . .
The police called it disorderly. Thank God it's orderly now."
