A pair of private planes from Elvis Presley, currently on display at Graceland, have hit the auction block.
The planes, named the Lisa Marie and the Hound Dog II, are set to be auctioned off by Julien's Auctions. Elvis used the Lisa Marie, named for his daughter, for his own air transportation.
Purchased on April 17, 1975, for $250,000, he refurbished the plane to include plush sleeping quarters, a penthouse bedroom with a custom-made queen-size bed, an executive bathroom with gold faucets and gold washbasin, a videotape system linked to four televisions, a stereo system with fifty speakers and a conference room.
The Hound Dog II, also purchased by Presley in 1975, sat 8-10 passengers.
Both planes are being offered exclusively through Julien's in a sealed bid auction now through February 2.
