Adele wrote a hand written letter to Elton John after she missed his and David Furnish's wedding.

The official ceremony took place over the weekend, and, in the note, Adele says that she hopes to see the couple in the new year.

"Biggest congratulations my loves. Have a wonderful day. I'm sorry we are not there. See you in 2015. Love Adele, Simon and Angelo. x," reads Adele's card.

Those who did attend the ceremony included David and Victoria Beckham, Liz Hurley and David Walliams.
