Roger Daltrey's throat infection has led the Who to cancel its London dates.

The band was slated to perform at the O2 Arena on December 17 and 18. Those shows have been moved to March 22 and March 23 to allow Daltrey to recover and rest his voice.

A statement from the band explained, "The band and their management wish to sincerely apologise to all ticket holders for the inconvenience and disappointment this has caused."

The Who will continue to tour Europe this summer but have noted that the upcoming shows are part of an effort to wind down their touring, which they explain is tough on them at their ages.

Daltrey, who is 70, said of their current Who Hits 50 UK tour, "This is the beginning of the long goodbye."
