David Gilmour made a cameo at the show of indie band Bombay Bicycle Club on Saturday, joining the group for a rendition of the Pink Floyd classic, "Wish You Were Here."

The gig marked the final show ever at famed Earls Court Arena in London.

"This man gave me my first guitar," Bombay Bicycle Club guitarist Jamie MacColl said, introducing Gilmour.

He "was one of the first people to play this venue, and by my count has played here more than 27 times."

Gilmour is currently working on the follow-up to his 2006 solo album, On An Island.

"It's coming along very well," There are some sketches that aren't finished, and some of them will be started again.

There's a few months' work in it yet. I'm hoping to get it out this following year.
