The Department for Registration of Persons announced that efforts to restore its computer system continue. According to the department, one-day services today cater exclusively to applicants who were unable to obtain their National Identity Cards (NICs) at the Battaramulla head office or provincial offices on the 23rd, 24th, and 26th of this month.

Applicants can obtain their cards by visiting the relevant offices with all necessary documentation. The department further stated that regular one-day services at the Battaramulla main office and provincial branches will resume as usual starting tomorrow.

The official announcement also noted that all department services are scheduled to operate without interruption starting from the 6th of next month.
