David Bowie Lands British Artist Of The Year At BBC Music Awards

David Bowie has been nominated for British Artist of the Year at the BBC Music Awards.

The veteran rocker will face off against Ed Sheeran, Elbow, Jungle, Royal Blood and Sam Smith for the award.

Other nominees include Dolly Parton, Gregory Porter, Lorde, Prince, Taylor Swift and Pharrell, who are all competing for International Artist of the Year at the ceremony, which takes place in London on December 11.

Bowie released two new tracks, as well as the compilation album Nothing Has Changed, earlier this year.

This spring, he will be releasing a limited edition 7" picture disk to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of his hit track "Young Americans.
