Firefighters successfully contained the blaze that broke out at a shoe and textile shop in Kiribathgoda town earlier today (30).

The Colombo and Gampaha Municipal Councils deployed five fire trucks to the scene to extinguish the flames.

Authorities reported severe traffic congestion around Kiribathgoda as a result of the road closure.
