The "Hiru Sahana Yathra" operation for the country continues its noble mission to clean all flood-damaged schools island-wide, driven by the determination to strengthen the future of the nation's schoolchildren.

The second phase of this philanthropic endeavour, which began at Giriulla Mahinda Primary School, takes place today, centred around Tibet S. Mahinda College, Tikiri Kumara College, and Kothuwila Gamini College in the Kolonnawa Educational Division.

The "Hiru Sahana Yathra" operation for the country represents a humanitarian mission implemented under the concept of the Chairman of the Hiru Media Network, Rayynor Silva.

Hiru, which does not forget the people every time they suffer, supports this mission again. The operation is funded completely by Hiru and involves the participation of many other groups loyal to Hiru.

Hiru, which led the way in holding health camps for the people affected by this year's disaster, delivered dry rations and other essential supplies to them, even traversing extremely difficult roads inaccessible due to the disaster.

Against this backdrop, another phase of the operation, the rebuilding of all flood-damaged schools across the island, began the day before yesterday (10). Schools clean and restored to a condition where educational activities can resume under this initiative.

Distribution of essential supplies to the public continues meanwhile, with activities taking place yesterday centered at the Nawagamuwa Super City housing complex. Furthermore, the "Hiru Sahana Yathra" operation for the country saw the donation of essential items yesterday to 51 monks at the Hanwella, Kaluaggala, Warakawatta Mapiya Guru Anusmarana Amilasiri sick monk center.
