Humanitarian aid from Israel arrives in Sri Lanka

The Embassy of Israel in India conveys its heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Sri Lanka for the tragic loss of life and widespread damage caused by Cyclone ‘Ditwah’.
In a show of solidarity and to support Sri Lanka’s ongoing relief efforts, the Government of Israel, in collaboration with MASHAV, is providing a shipment of emergency humanitarian aid to address urgent needs in the affected regions.
The consignment includes folding beds, first aid kits, surgical gloves, hygiene packs, mosquito nets, power banks, raincoats, mattresses, water tanks, baby utensils, kitchen sets, submersible water pumps, and protective goggles.
Ms Hadas Bakst, Political Advisor at the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi, is currently in Sri Lanka to personally supervise the delivery and coordination of the relief operations.
This assistance underscores the long-standing friendship between Israel and Sri Lanka. Israel remains committed to supporting the nation’s recovery during this challenging period.
The Embassy continues to work closely with Sri Lankan authorities to ensure that the aid reaches the communities most affected in a timely and effective manner.
