'We need to act strategically in the face of the current situation. Some adjustments to the budget will be necessary to respond to present challenges.'

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya made these remarks at the Sri Lanka Economic and Investment Summit 2025, held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo on December 02.

The Primie Minister also stated that, 'Without creating the right environment and conditions for investment, we will not be able to rebuild or reach our long-term goals. Even our recovery from the recent devastation depends on keeping the economy stable and resilient. Implementing the right policies and ensuring proper allocation of funds remain essential.'
