Brad Pitt has been outspoken about his wish to play the role of Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic.

The 50-year-old actor desperately wants the chance to portray the rocker in a movie, aptly titled The Boss.

"Bruce has had offers before and has always turned them down, but Brad's interest has caught his attention," a source said. "This is Brad Pitt, so he's thinking it over."

Springsteen, who is now 65, supposedly has said that Pitt has the right look to play him in the film.

Pitt, who is passionate about the project, is rounding up the funds to make this biopic happen, said the source.
