Rare Beatles Abbey Road Photos Sell For ?180,000 At Auction

A set of unused photographs taken during the Beatles legendary Abbey Road photo shoot have sold at auction for £180,000.

The pictures were taken by photographer Iain MacMillan on August 8, 1969 and were sold by Bloomsbury Auctions in London.

Sarah Wheeler of Bloomsbury Auctions released a statement on the sale noting, "This set of photographs has triggered a brilliant reaction from the market.

It has been a pleasure to share them with the public at our sale rooms, even for a short time, and a delight to see them attain such a worthy price today."
