Aretha Franklin recently took the stage on Late Night with David Letterman to perform her cover of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep." She mashed the popular tune up with the Motown classic "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

"She swoops and dives and climbs through her still amazing range wringing sounds out of that song no one has heard before," writes Showbiz 411 of the performance.

The cut comes from Aretha's upcoming album Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics.

The Queen of Soul's new album also includes covers of Barbara Streisand's "People," Gladys Knight's "Midnight Train To Georgia," Alicia Keys' "No One," and a mash-up of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" and Destiny's Child's "I'm A Survivor."

Franklin even plays piano on The Supremes' "You Keep Me Hangin' On."

Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics is in stores October 21.
