Genesis will release Sum of the Parts, a career-spanning film that includes archive footage exploring the evolution of the band. The film acts as a complement to the upcoming BBC doc Together and Apart.

"I think when we got it right we had something that none of us could do on our own. And there were different musical histories merging together in a powerful way," said Genesis fronter Peter Gabriel.

Together and Apart airs in October on the BBC. Sum of the Parts and Together and Apart will be available on DVD via Eagle Rock Entertainment on November 17.

The band's three disc collection R-Kives hits September 29, while the Three Sides Liveconcert film will be released on Blu-ray in October.
