Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood is the latest to take the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, posting a video of the dousing online.

Wood has in turn nominated Rod Stewart, Woody Harrelson and his son Tyrone to follow suit.

So far, the ALS IBC has raised over $78 million in donations compared to $2.5 million during the same time period last year (July 29 to August 25).

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement.

ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
