Bob Seger has released a new single, "Detroit Made."

While it's unknown if "Detroit Made" is a single off of a future Seger album, the Detroit Free Press quotes members of his team who promise that release information will be made available shortly.

Seger admits that he just sort of stumbled across "Detroit Made," and he originally wanted one of Detroit's favorite sons, Kid Rock, to perform the track with him.

"I stumbled on "Detroit Made" Outlaw Country," Bob Seger said.

"I downloaded it, and that's a great opener for us. My initial plan was to have Kid Rock do it with me, but he was just so busy with the start of his tour that we weren't able to do it. I thought it would be great."
