Aerosmith bass player Tom Hamilton says that the band's last album Music from Another Dimension! suffered from poor sales because fans didn't give it a hard enough listen.

Speaking with the Las Vegas Review Journal, Tom said:

"I feel like the fans didn't do their homework on it. They didn't let it grow on them. C'est la vie. We'll try harder next time."

He added that, despite the LP's poor reception, the group is playing at the highest level of their career:

"Let me tell you this: If young Aerosmith came and played on the same night as current Aerosmith, we would blow them off the stage."

Aerosmith are currently on the road with Slash for their joint Let Rock Rule. The run picks up August 5 in Dana Point, CA.
