George Michael rushed to hospital in ambulance after friend makes 999 emergency call

Troubled singer George Michael was taken to hospital by ambulance after falling ill, it emerged last night.

Two emergency ambulances were sent to the star’s north London home early on Thursday last week, the London Ambulance Service confirmed.

The 50-year-old fell ill and two ambulances were sent to his north London mansion after a 999 call by a worried friend.

Witnesses said the ambulances left four hours later with Michael on board. He was taken to a London hospital for emergency treatment.

Last night, his agent said:  ‘George Michael was in hospital for routine tests but there is nothing further to say.’

London Ambulance Service confirmed two ambulances were called at 8am on Thursday.
