Minor internet sensation DJ Baron Von Luxxury says that it is pointless of the Eagles to have made him take down his remix of "Hotel California."

Luxxury's remix racked up 300,000 Soundcloud plays before Warner Music Group filed a complaint.

"The whole point is to get these into the hands of DJs all over the world who then play it to thousands of people and expose these ancient songs to new audiences in a new way," he complained to the Wall Street Journal.

"In lieu of a thank you — or even paying me a retroactive remixing fee — for exposing their work to a new audience, they've just unceremoniously cut off my generous, selfless efforts to keep them relevant."

Earlier this summer, Don Henley spoke out against other artists who posted Eagles' covers online, forcing both Frank Ocean and Okkervil River to remove their reworkings of the band's material.
