David Bowie says he's hard at work on the follow up to 2012's The Next Day.

He issued a statement to be read at a charity event in London, which was celebrating 50 years of Bowie's music as well as raising money for the Terrance Higgins Trust.

"This city is even better than the one you were in last year, so remember to dance, dance, dance.

Then sit down for a minute, knit something, then get up and run all over the place. Do it. Love on ya. More music soon," read the statement.

The Next Day was Bowie's 24th studio LP.
