Dolly Parton is considering renewing her wedding vows to her husband of 47 years.

The singer and reclusive Carl Dean will celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary on 30 May and the milestone has prompted Parton to start planning for the couple's 50th.

She told news show Entertainment Tonight, "We've talked about maybe having a big wedding again out of our house. I'd be more apt to wanna do that than my husband. He really hates a whole bunch of attention and all, but I think he might do that. I'd have to make him, but he would."
