The Queen of Country herself, Reba McEntire, is saddling up for another season of The Voice this fall — and we are here for it! She’ll be hitting those big red chairs alongside Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, and Niall Horan in what’s shaping up to be one heck of a coaching crew. But believe it or not, Reba wasn’t always so gung-ho about joining the show.
In a recent sit-down on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Reba let fans in on a little secret: she was super hesitant to take on the gig at first — and her reason is hilariously down-to-earth.
“I was really dreading it at first because I don’t want to tell anybody they suck,” she confessed with a laugh.
Can we get a round of applause for that honesty? We’ve all been there — trying to give feedback without crushing someone’s dreams. But Reba, being the gracious Southern sweetheart she is, found her groove and clearly brought that big-hearted charm to the show.
And now? "The heart won't lie" singer is back and ready to mentor more rising stars (hopefully without having to break too many hearts along the way). Get ready for more laughs, twang, and a whole lotta talent when The Voice returns this fall!
