Pictured here is rock star Jimi Hendrix, or as The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him “arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music”. The photograph is believed to have been taken on 6th October 1968 and shows Jimi Hendrix alongside an unknown woman in a dune buggy. Hendrix is said to have enjoyed driving and was known to be just as fast and unpredictable behind the wheel as he was with a guitar. And while he never got the chance to become an experienced driver, but in his 27 years, he did have one favorite: the Corvette.
