Bruce Springsteen is one of the world’s biggest Elvis fans Bruce and the E Street Band had just wrapped up another one of their four-hour extravaganzas, this one in Memphis in 1976. A wired-up Bruce decided the time was ripe to visit the man who started the whole ball rolling and went to Graceland at three in the morning, jumped the wall, and ran to the front door. Security grabbed him before he could make it to the door and sent him packing. Knocking wouldn't have done much good, anyway. Elvis was in Lake Tahoe at the time.
