Amanda Peterson Died From Accidental Overdose, Autopsy Reveals

Amanda Peterson, the star of the 1987 rom-com "Can't Buy Me Love," who was found dead in her home in July, was killed by an accidental overdose, according to the autopsy and toxicology report released Wednesday by the Weld County Coroner's Office.

Peterson, 43, had taken a dosage of morphine given to her by a friend for an unspecified pain.

The coroner's office concluded that she died from a respiratory depression because of a morphine overdose.
