Opposition holds special workshop ahead of budget 2026

All Opposition Members of Parliament have been summoned to a special workshop today (6) to discuss the current government's second budget and strategise on how to address it.
The workshop is scheduled to be held in Colombo at 2:00 PM this afternoon.
According to MP Madduma Bandara, the aim is to equip Opposition MPs with essential information and arguments to participate effectively in the upcoming Budget Debate.
Discussions will centre on the country's economy, the budget, and the nation's future.
Several experts are slated to brief and educate the parliamentarians.
The workshop is being held under the direction of Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, who is currently visiting India.
All Opposition Members of Parliament have been invited.
The President is scheduled to present the Budget for 2026 to Parliament tomorrow (7) at 1:30 PM.
