Fashion designer Michael Kors has donated USD 2.7 million to support school meal and nutrition programs in Sri Lanka through the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). The donation will expand the country’s Home-Grown School Feeding initiative, providing daily nutritious meals to around 250,000 children over the next three years.

The funds will also help local farmers and caterers by sourcing fresh produce within communities, strengthening both nutrition and rural livelihoods. Additionally, the program includes upgrading school infrastructure, such as building solar-powered kitchens in selected schools. This effort is part of Michael Kors’ global Watch Hunger Stop campaign aimed at fighting hunger and supporting food security worldwide.
