Abu Dhabi is gearing up to unveil Aion Sentia, the world’s first AI-powered cognitive city, by 2027. This ambitious project aims to revolutionise urban living through cutting-edge artificial intelligence and self-learning technologies. It forms a central pillar of the emirate’s broader initiative to embed AI across all aspects of daily life, fundamentally reshaping how people live, work, and engage with their environment.
Designed to go beyond conventional “smart city” models, Aion Sentia will utilise AI to deliver predictive services, automated infrastructure management, and real-time energy efficiency. “This city will not just be smart—it will be cognitive, learning and evolving alongside its residents,” said Daniele Marinelli, CEO of My Aion Inc., the Italian firm behind the project.
At the heart of this futuristic city is MAIA, an AI-driven mobile app developed to seamlessly connect residents with public services. MAIA will handle everything from intelligent public transport scheduling to smart home automation and AI-supported healthcare, delivering a fully integrated digital lifestyle directly to users’ devices.
With Aion Sentia, Abu Dhabi is poised to set a new global benchmark for AI-integrated urban environments, combining innovation, sustainability, and human-centric design into one transformative vision for the future.
