DAREDEVIL Bob Grimstead flies the world’s smallest twin-jet plane.
The aircraft resembles a “bubble car with wings” — like a space vehicle in classic cartoon The Jetsons.
Retired pilot Bob, 70, who used to fly Boeing 747 jumbo jets reached speeds of 140mph in the 13ft by 4ft plane — which weighs just 180lbs. He even did rolls in the custom-made Colomban Cri-Cri Jet.
It was built mainly using aluminium by two South African engineers.
Bob, of West Sussex, was doing a flight test review for Pilot Magazine in Australia and said it was “superb fun”.
His wife Karen, 62, was in a regular light aircraft next to him to take the remarkable photos.
