Kobalt Acquires Elvis' Publishing Rights

Kobalt Music Publishing has finalized a new deal that will land them the majority of the publishing rights to Elvis Presley's back catalogue.

The deal will include the administrating rights to over 1,000 songs including big hits like "All Shook Up", "Jailhouse Rock", "A Little Less Conversation", "Return to Sender" and "Can't Help Falling in Love."

"This is an absolutely momentous deal," says Willard Ahdritz, founder and CEO of Kobalt, of the new agreement.

Jamie Salter, chairman and CEO of ABG, added: "We are thrilled to partner with Kobalt to ensure that Elvis' legacy as the King of Rock and Roll lives on forever.

Nick Woodhouse, president and CMO of ABG noted, "We are dedicated to preserving Elvis' tremendous body of work and we are confident that Kobalt is committed to that same goal."
