Paul McCartney is one of the latest musicians to pay tribute to George Michael, who recently passed away at his home.

"George Michael's sweet soul music will live on even after his sudden death," McCartney wrote in a tribute on his official website.

"Having worked with him on a number of occasions, his great talent always shone through and his self-deprecating sense of humour made the experience even more pleasurable."

Back in 2005, Michael joined McCartney onstage during his Live 8 concert at London's Hyde Park to perform the track "Drive My Car."

According to reports Michael died "peacefully," at the age of 53, at his home in Goring-on-Thames, which is located in Oxfordshire, England;
