A new documentary about Queen frontman Freddie Mercury will air this weekend.

The documentary titled Freddie Mercury: Who Wants To Live Forever, will air on select channels November 20 and 9 p.m.

Ironically the documentary is centered on a brief and specific time of Mercury's life, which he desperately tried to keep private.

NME reports, the period of time which the documentary focuses on is from the "summer of 1985 at the Live AID to the spring of 1987, when Mercury was diagnosed with HIV."

The documentary will show rare archived footage of Mercury.

It will also feature exclusive interviews with the singer's bodyguard and chauffer, Terry Giddings.

There is no word if the straight-to-television documentary will have an official home release.
